Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERONICA PEGGY WALKER (nee SUMNER) Full of Beauty and Forever Beautiful June 2, 1971 April 18, 2010 It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of a beautiful and courageous woman who touched the hearts and lives of all that had the privilege to know and love her. Peacefully on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 4:45 p.m. Veronica Peggy Walker entered her heavenly home. Leaving to cherish her memory, her husband and partner of 17 years Derrick Walker, her children Natasha, Jordan (Kiara), Santana, and her baby Preston, and her Pride and joy grand-daughter Natalya Annie Sumner Walker. Precious daughter of Hughie and Martha Sumner, and granddaughter of Elder, Mrs. Bertha Sumner. Beloved sister of Jackie Woodhouse, Natalie Reeves (Steve), Kennard Beardy (Roseanne), Robin Bruce (Yvette), Rene Bruce (Sharon), Trevor Sumner (Norma), and adopted sister Jennifer Moar (Wilfred). She also leaves sixteen nieces and nephews to cherish many memories. After a courageous battle with cancer, Veronica has gone home to be with her Lord and Saviour. I am now ready to be offered the time of my departure is at hand, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Acknowledgement and appreciation to both the Women's Hospital 5th Floor and St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit, doctors and nursing staff. Viewing will be held on Friday, April 23, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Wide World of Faith Church, 465 Alexander Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Wake Service on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 12:00 p.m., both services at the Fairford House of Prayer, Fairford, Manitoba. My dear daughter life has never been the same. still coping WITH the heartbreak. it's been three years seems like yesterday. I choke back tears many times wonder why this happened it was such a great loss to our family, but now your grandchildren add comfort to all of us. You always had such an infectious laugh, and the stories that we shared. You made the stories come alive when you repeated them in our language. You had four beautiful children and now have 4 granddaughters and another grandchild on the way. Wow, you who always loved the little ones would have been such a good coo-coo.
