STELLA MARTIN 1917 - 2010 It is with deep sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Stella Martin, aged 92, on April 18, 2010. Our dearest mother, grandmother and great-grandmother is mourned by her beloved son Tom (Jackie); daughter-in-law June (Peter); grandsons, Roy and Raymond; great-granddaughter Carol; step-sister Margaret and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Adam; eldest son James; brother Gordon; step-sisters, Mildred, Ruth, Olive, Emily; and step-brother Earl. Stella was born June 18, 1917 in Kenora, Ontario. She was a homemaker most of her life, looking after her sons and grandsons. In later years, she worked for Sears at Polo Park in the Small Electricals Department; which she enjoyed greatly. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. Her ashes will be laid to rest at a later date in Dunara Cemetery, Petersfield, Manitoba. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Charleswood Care Centre, especially the nursing staff and health care aides on Wing 5 for the excellent care and giving of so much love over the past seven years.
