Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERONICA (RONNIE) HARPER (nee MOLYNEAUX) With faith rather than fear, Veronica passed peacefully into Our Father's loving arms, and heaven welcomes another angel. Ronnie suffered from Congestive Heart Failure for most of her adult life and she finally succumbed to her disease April 26, 2010 at the age of 83. Ronnie was born August 19, 1926 in Parry Sound, ON. Ronnie was the last surviving member of her family. Predeceased by parents James and Marguerite Molyneaux, also by her siblings: four brothers and two sisters. She was also predeceased by her husband of 41 years, James Bud Harper in 1986 and daughter Brenda Gail Mair in 1998. She will be missed by her two surviving daughters Yvonne Boisclair (Jacques) of Winnipeg and Joey Allaire of Timmins, ON, and son James Harper. Gran or Gigi , as she was affectionately known to her great-grandbabies leaves to mourn her passing six grandchildren, Jacqueline Sawchyn, Natalie St. James (Tim), Shannan DelGuidice (Jeff), Ryan Mair, Chris Allaire (Kelly), and Tanya Allaire. Gigi was also very proud of her nine beautiful great-grandchildren to whom she attributed her longevity and young spirit. Alex, Tori, Carly, Lily, Brendan, T.J., Madison, Ava and Ella. Her health had been failing due to C.H.F. in 2004, but all that changed with the births of Carly and Lily. Gran sure loved our babies... Each one put a bounce in her step and made her want to embrace each day. Ronnie joined the Canadian Women's Army Corps in 1944 and served her country for two years in Toronto's Supply Depot as a Stores Clerk. She married James Harper in 1947. Bud and Ronnie had three daughters and one son and Ronnie stayed home to care for her young family. After the children had all left home Ronnie travelled all over Northern Ontario while Bud worked. She was a very quiet woman and enjoyed solitude. She was an avid reader and loved cards and puzzles. She also loved nature, gardening, berry picking and bird watching. She took great joy in observing God's handiwork. Ronnie had a strong faith in God and was an active member of her parish, St. Joseph the Worker, and a member of the Catholic Women's League. She was also a member of the Transcona Retired Citizens Inc. and Senior's Choir. She will be missed by her many friends. A celebration of Gigi's life will take place on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue West. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Joseph the Worker Parish. There are things we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know, but have to learn and people we can't live without but have to let go.
