JOHN SHIELDS November 28, 1915 - April 24, 2010 After a lengthy illness, John Shields passed away at the Deer Lodge Centre in Winnipeg on Saturday, April 24, 2010. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances in 1997. John will be remembered by his sons, William (Gail) and John Kenneth (Cheryl) Shields; his step-son, William (Barbara) McCance, and step-daughter Margaret (Paul) Lapointe, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In accordance with John's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service and interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery at a later date. John's family would like to thank the staff of Tower 5 South at the Deer Lodge Centre for their care and kindness these past months, and also special thanks to Dr. K. Coates for his many years of caring for John.
