NICO DEMITRI WIERSEMA After spending a week in this life, our son Nico has gone to be with our faithful Heavenly Father. He was born the healthy son of Steven and Kristin Wiersema on Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Women's Pavilion in Winnipeg. After 24 wonderful hours with his parents, complications occurred and Nico was airlifted to the Stollery in Edmonton for specialized treatment. Due to further complications, Nico passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010. We would like to thank all those involved with Nico's care both here in Winnipeg and at the Stollery in Edmonton - you were all amazing. We'd also like to thank all those who have prayed and supported us overwhelmingly during this difficult time. Nico's funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Redeemer Canadian Reformed Church just off of Dugald Road at 15 Bates Ave. Pastor Poppe officiating. We request that, in lieu of flowers, etc., donations be made to The Stollery in Edmonton or the Children's Hospital here in Winnipeg.
