PETER DAMIAN MARTIN Deputy Commissioner R.C.M.P. (retired) passed away unexpectedly, in hospital, May 1, 2010. Born in Sunderland, England, February 23, 1949. He served 40 years in the R.C.M.P. including postings at the National Headquarters Ottawa, Toronto, Newfoundland, and British Columbia. Peter will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Pauline, his six children, Paul (Erica), Tyler (Natalie), Bradley (Jodie), Clinton (Amanda), Stephanie (Adam), and Heather (Avail). Survived by his parents, Jim and Maureen. Loving Grandpa to Logan, Poppy and Rory. Oldest sibling to Chris, Gerard (Brenda), Mary Lou (Ralph), Andrew (Jennifer), Margaret, Ceecee (Todd), Jan (Dan), Angela (Dan) and Michael (Janice), and Uncle to a multitude of nieces and nephews. Peter will be greatly missed, eternally loved and remembered by all whose lives he touched. Friends are invited to pay their respects at Kelly Funeral Home (Barrhaven), 3000 Woodroffe Ave., Wednesday, May 5 and Thursday, May 6, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Service will be held at Notre Dame Cathedral on Friday, May 7 at 1:30 p.m.
