RHODA MCKINNEY December 24, 1951 - May 2, 2010 It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Rhoda Mary Cameron McKinney at Riverview Health Centre on May 2, 2010. She is deeply mourned by her daughters Sarah and Kate, by her mother, sisters and brother, nieces and nephews, and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. Rhoda was an artist, an actor, teacher and traveller. She loved gardening, swimming, picnics, her dogs, and jewelry. She was a spiritual person, an adventurer and an independent thinker whose passion, creativity, and imagination made our world richer. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Palliative Care Unit for their compassionate and responsive care. Cremation has taken place with Voyage Funeral Home and a memorial celebration for close friends and family will follow. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a donation in Rhoda's memory may do so to the Riverview Palliative Care Unit or the Winnipeg Humane Society. Our Momma is a shooting star returning home.'

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I was a very close friend of Rhoda and her sisters for many years. I am sorry and deeply saddened to see she is no longer living. Looking for old friends on google was wondering where they were. If Laura or Barbara would send me an email with some news to jprioresquire@gmail.com it would really mean a lot to me. I am quite well and live in Dublin Ireland and would love some news. Hope you are all doing good. With fond regards your old friend jamesey - Posted by: James Prior (Friend) on: Jan 03, 2018

  • I am on the verge of moving to Winnipeg in June and was remembering my visit with her thirty years ago when I passed through and the marvelous times we had in Prince Rupert...would love to make contact with her daughter and play my saxophone since her mother was with me when I bought it 34 years ago.....She is in my heart and my musical prayers. - Posted by: Stewart Brinton (close friend from Prince Rupert) on: Apr 15, 2016
