Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOWEN CURTIS MAJOR (Muna, Badger) October 2, 1970 - May 8, 2010 Peacefully in his sleep with his loving wife by his side, Owen Major, age 39 left this earth way to soon. Owen was born in St. Claude and grew up in Elm Creek. He spent all his working life driving truck. He was the happiest behind the wheel. In 2001 Owen purchased his own semi and became self employed, a dream come true. When Owen wasn't in his truck he could be found camping, hunting, snowmobiling, quading or just sitting in his armchair with his laptop on his lap, watching t.v. In August 2002 he married Krisia, the two were inseparable, sole mates actually. Family was very important to Owen, whether it be just visiting or around the table for a family supper. Owen would make a room light up as soon as he entered it. His smile, laughter, stories and jokes entertained everyone. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Krisia, mother Minnie, father Robert, three sisters - Jeanine, Wanda, Michelle (Maurice) and four brothers - Rick (Doreen), Cyril (Wendy), Dennis (Corriann), Shawn (Tanya); father- and mother- in-law Aurel and Wendy Dheilly, brother-in-law Tony (Kaylee), sister-in-law Veronica (Curtis) and numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends. Owen was predeceased by grandma and grandpa Major, grandma and grandpa Shapansky, brother-in-law Terry Carpenter and great niece Emily. Krisia and family would like to thank the doctors and staff of GD6. You guys are great. Kathy, Christine, Lisa and Margery, you ladies spent so much time with Owen and each and every one of you don't realize how much he appreciated you, you all are amazing. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elm Creek Community Hall. Interment will take place at the Elm Creek Cemetery.
