Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALFRED LAWRENCE FORTH Quietly on April 21, 2010 Alfred Lawrence Forth passed away at the Royal Columbian Hospital in British Columbia surrounded by some of his children and grandchildren. Al was born and raised in St. James where he and his brothers grew up playing hockey. He joined the Army September 6, 1939 at the age of 17 ½, was discharged a Sargent on May 15, 1945. He then went to work for the C.N.R. as a switchman for 35 years. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing with his sons and friends and was also an avid golfer. After his retirement his passion was his gardens. He is predeceased by the love of his life Christina Lucy, his life companion Marguerite and his sons Jimmy and Alex (Paddy). He will be missed by his sister Betty, his children Leslie (Dennis), Barry, Kathleen (Wally), Darlene (Martin), Sandy (Danny), Maggie (Pradeep), Keith (Geraldine), all his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and many friends. The family invites you to join them to celebrate Al's life at St. James Legion, 1755 Portage Ave., Winnipeg MB on Saturday, May 15 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
