Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOEL MOLINO MACALIPAY It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our father, a husband, brother, grandfather, uncle and a friend at the tender young age of 57. Joel passed away May 9, 2010 at Riverview Health Centre, with his family at his bedside. Joel was predeceased by his father, Ricardo Rocha Macalipay and his mother-in-law, Cristeta Dimaculangan, and his brother Ricardo J.R. Macalipay. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Norieta Macalipay, his children Lilibeth, Elvin Ryan , and Joshua Macalipay, his mother Praxedes, as well as his many brothers and sisters and their families. Joel was born in Magdiwang, Romblon, Philippines, and spent time in Manila. Joel immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada November 8, 1977 and married upon arrival. He enjoyed fishing, time with his family, cooking, being the life of the party, and lastly but most importantly was to provide a helping hand. He will surely be missed, but never forgotten. The family would like to give special thanks out to the staff on 2West at Riverview Health Centre. Viewing (Lamay) will be held Friday, May 21 (7:00 p.m. - Midnight) at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., (South of the Royal Canadian Mint). Viewing will also be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 22. A processional will be held at 10:30 a.m. to Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens to the family plot in Himalayan Garden.
