SERAFIN R. GARCIA October 20, 1942 - May 15, 2010 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of our dearly beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother and uncle at the age of 67. Serafin passed away on May 15, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre with his family at his bedside. Serafin will be lovingly remembered by his wife Loreto; daughters Vicky (Chris) Carroll, Violeta Rivera, Vivian (Donato) Gaddi, Verna (Eric) Maniquiz; son Virgilio (Jocy) Garcia; grandchildren Suzette, Sunver, Sunvien, Jo, Nicole, Gillian, Lara, Nick, Jericho and Gian; sister in Canada Susana Rowse; sisters and brothers and their families in the Philippines, and many nieces and nephews. Serafin was predeceased by his son Vincent; parents Telesforo and Rosalina; brothers Bernardo, Isidro, Ramon, and sister Eliza. His devotion, love and support for his family will always be cherished. Serafin was born in the Philippines and immigrated to Canada on July 18, 2008. He liked fishing and cooking for his family while singing with his records. The family would like to thank the staff at Health Sciences Centre. Viewing (Lamay) and reception will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. till 11:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Funeral mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle, 2400 Portage Ave on Thursday, May 20 at 10:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
