GLADYS W. MORDEN It is with great sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of our dear grandma, great-grandma and friend Gladys W. Morden on May 20, 2010, aged 96 years. Grandma was born in Winnipeg, spent her childhood in Winnipeg and Ashfield, and later years in Tyndal. She married Earle Morden in 1932. Blessed with son Bryan in 1945, he predeceased them in 1995, Earle her husband predeceased her in 1998. Grandma helped her husband in many ways, farm life, then store keeping in the Variety Shop, while Earle worked for the Manitoba Hydro. Gladys took part in school concerts accompanying the groups singing with piano playing. She taught Sunday School in the Pentecostal Church in Tyndal. She loved children and they loved her. She loved her family and took part in all the family festivities. She was a quiet spoken lady, close relatives feel they have lost someone dear but know she is in the arms of Jesus her Saviour. L:eft to cherish her memory are her daughter-in-law Eleanor; grandchildren David (Brenda), Crystal (Robert) and six great-grandchildren Natasha, Bryan, Jordan, Christopher (AKA Steve), Dylan and Madison. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 26 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Pastor Dave Holland officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to. Grandma's eulogy will be done by grandson Dave Morden. Interment will follow in the St. Clements Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandson Dave Morden, grandson-in-law Robert McAlinden and great-grandsons Jordan McAlinden, Christopher McAlinden, Dylan McAlinden and Bryan Morden. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in grandma's memory to the Diabetic Association, 102-310 Broadway St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6.
