SHANNON LEIGH ELLIS One year has passed since you left us dear, A year of grief, anguish and tears, Of wanting and wishing for one more day And searching and struggling to find our way. To find our way through endless despair, of holidays without you there. Remembering moments, to treasure and save, Missing you so, we try to be brave. There was so much more that you wanted to do, And we were so very proud of you You marched through your life, to a drum of your own, Steadfast and strong, and sometimes alone My pride and my joy, from the day you were born, Our family is broken, we quietly mourn Your red hair, your strength, your laughter and tears, Etched in our memories, to hold through the years Shannon Leigh Ellis passed away suddenly on May 27, 2009 Shannon's family would like to take this opportunity to thank all friends and family for their kind wishes and messages of comfort over the past year.
