IRENE DANDENAULT (nee TESSIER) 1931 - 2010 On Thursday, May 20, 2010, Irène passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by her family. Irène will be lovingly remembered by Luc her caring husband of 55 years, her children Renée and Maurice Laroche (Leo, Danielle, Michel), Doris and Richmond Gosselin (Eric, Rémi, Mélanie), Louise and Daniel Alarie, Alain and Pat Dandenault (Kelsey, Tyler), her great-grandchildren Cody, Jessie and Nico. Also surviving are her sister Doris Bellerive and numerous sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews. Irène will always be remembered for her love of horses and sports. She excelled in baseball and golf. She was also known as the tomboy of St. Pierre. Nothing was more enjoyable than beating Luc in their morning ritual game of cribbage. Her laugh and boisterous voice will be missed. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the St. Pierre DeSalaberry Hospital and the friends and family who dropped by to visit Irène. Cremation has taken place and the funeral service will be held at the St. Pierre Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, May 27 at 2:00 p.m. Donations in Irène's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
