ROGER JOSEPH MCCARTHY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband and dad, Roger McCarthy on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Riverview Hospital after a long battle with cancer. After a long and happy marriage of 43 years Roger is survived by wife Pat; son Shawn and his wife Monique; daughter Shannon and her husband Rene; grandchildren Brendon, Tyler, Kayla, Raquel, Cadence, and his sister Linda. Roger worked for 32 years at Canada Post and retired in 2002. He then helped his son and daughter-in-law at their business, Fort Knox Storage. On Thursday, June 3, Roger's Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. We wish to offer many great thanks to the Palliative Care Units at St. Boniface Hospital and Riverview Hospital and to the wonderful home Palliative Care staff. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roger's memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 0V9.
