KATHLEEN ISOBEL MICHON (nee ROBERTSON) Kathleen Isobel Michon (nee Robertson) of Winnipeg MB passed away suddenly on May 29, 2010 in Victoria General hospital. Born in Winnipeg on June 28, 1950 to Bonnie and Jack Robertson, Kathleen was the oldest of two children. She graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Religious studies. In 1974 she moved to St-Jean-sur-Richelieu to teach English at the College Miliaire Royal where she met and fell in love with Claude Michon. They married on June 16, 1979. Kathleen was a loving and compassionate person who spent several years with the Manitoba Wildlife Rehabilitation Organization where she served as President of the Board of Directors. Kathleen was an avid reader and was known for her excellent cooking. Whether it was a simple soup or elaborate Christmas Eve dinner for her family, everything Kathleen cooked was made with love. She is survived by her husband, Claude; her son David; her daughter Diane and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her first granddaughter in a few weeks. Kathleen was very close to her cousins, in-laws and her nieces and nephews and they each held very special places in her heart. Kathleen was predeceased by her brother Ian, her father Jack and her mother Bonnie. A celebration of Kathleen's life will be held on Friday, June 4 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the University Women's Club, 54 West Gate. Memorial gifts in Kathleen's memory can be made to the Cancer Care Manitoba Foundation. Interment will take place at a later date with a private family service.
