DONNA JONES 1933 - 2010 Donna passed away peacefully, after a two year courageous battle with cancer, at the Hunter Memorial Hospital June 1 with her partner and stepchildren at her side. Donna was born in Winnipeg, MB, on November 22, 1933. She attended school in Erinview, Teulon and St. Mary's Academy in Winnipeg. Upon graduation, she worked for the Canadian Wheat Board for many years. She moved back to Teulon working in a restaurant and for Home Care. Her hobbies were arts and crafts and gardening for which she won many awards in the Teulon Fall Fairs. She is survived by her loving partner of 27 years, Olie Olson; daughter Darcy; brother Art Merritt; her special Aunt Sophie Kuhn, as well as many relatives and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon on Saturday, June 12 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Erinview Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Donna's name may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice. Sincere thanks to Dr. Loudon and staff at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital for all their efforts to make her final days as pain free and comfortable as possible.
