IRENE KOPER Suddenly on June 3, 2010, at the Concordia General Hospital with her grandson Brandan at her side; Irene Koper went home to be with the lord at the age of 93 years. In addition to her parents, Irene was predeceased by her husband Johannes (Joe); sons David and Gerald, brother Peter and sister Emily. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by grandson Brandan (Ashleigh); great-grandsons Dylan and Logan; daughter-in-law Patricia; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends she made along the way. Irene lived a full and active life. She enjoyed bowling well into her 80's, liked dancing and singing, and had lively sense of humour. Irene was a life-long member of St. Thomas Anglican Church and was very active with the Alter Guild. She very much enjoyed the time she spent with her family; especially her grand-children, who she loved very much. Many happy times were spent at cottages on Lac Lu and War Eagle Lake. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. June 8, 2010 at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 1567 William Avenue West, with the Rev. Kenneth Garrity officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband Joe and her sons David and Gerald at Brookside Cemetery during a private family interment.
