VERA MERLE DICKSON Peacefully, on May 14, 2010, with her family at her side, Vera Dickson of Rossendale, Manitoba lost her brief but courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 72. Vera (nee Maloney) was predeceased by her husband James in 2008 and her grandson Shane in 2009. She leaves to mourn her passing her children, Lynda (Cecil) Turner, Joanne (Jeff) Watson, and Michael (Mim) Dickson and their families. She also leaves behind sisters, Eunice (Laurie) Donald, Lois (Ken) Lowden, and brothers, Ron (Lois), Joe (the late Paulette) and Lloyd (Cecile) and their families. A memorial service to celebrate Vera's life will be held on June 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Omega Funeral Chapel in Portage la Prairie, followed by interment at Rossendale Cemetery.
