She was pre-deceased by sister, Nerissa. She is further survived by grandchildren Taeya, Jalen and Maya, many nieces, nephews, relatives and numerous friends. Ruth was born in Duncans, Jamaica to the late Clarence and Maude Christie and migrated to Winnipeg 41 years ago. She worked for Riverview Health Centre (Municipal) for 34 years as a health-care aide and was a dedicated member of the Afro-Caribbean Association of Manitoba. She was selfless, had amazing patience and an incredible gift for sharing love and laughter. The family would like to express a special thank-you to the 8th floor staff of the St. Boniface Hospital for their excellent care and dedication. RIGHT ON! - as Mom would say.
