JOHN COTE November 3, 1924 - May 28, 2010 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Lionel Cote on Friday, May 28, 2010. John was predeceased by his wife Laurel and son-in-law Johnny. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters Cindy van Gogh, Penny (Mike) Molotkin, grandsons Kyle and Kevin Molotkin as well as many nieces, nephews and friend Lil. John was born in Fannystelle, Manitoba on November 3, 1924. John was proud to be a Second World War veteran where he served as Flight Sergeant in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He had a long career in transportation as a sales rep, retiring to Emerson, Manitoba to be close to his grandsons, who affectionately referred to him as G-man. John enjoyed traveling and was an avid golfer and curler and loved playing cards and games with family and friends. Through the years he was active on several committees including the Emerson Golf Club. The family wishes to thank the Palliative Care Doctors, Nurses and staff at Riverview Centre. Cremation has taken place and in accordance to John's wishes a private family service will be held in Emerson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
