GORDON RAY MORRISON December 5, 1948 June 5, 2010 On Saturday morning, June 5, 2010, with loving family by his side, the angels took Ray home after his courageous battle with cancer. He was 61. Ray will be deeply missed by his wife of 31 years, Paulette; his children, Leigh Trueman, Mark (Laurie Beverley) Morrison, Trisha (Germain) Francoeur and Meghann (Tyler) Leray; and his grandchildren, Hannah and Leila Francoeur, Mason Morrison, Alyssa and Elizabeth Leray. Ray's memory will live on in the hearts of his sister Brenda (Jim) MacPherson; brothers, Ron and Darwin Morrison; Paulette's parents, Terry and Emile Lepage; her siblings, Irene (Jack) Anderson, Bob (Lucille) Lepage, Andre (Fran) Lepage, Lorraine Taillefer, Ed Lepage, Michelle (Randy) McDuff, Dianne (Jo) Lepage; many nieces and nephews; and many friends. Ray was predeceased by his father, Gordon Morrison, in 1998 and his mother, Phyllis Morrison, in 2001. Ray was a hard working, easy going guy who loved life, family and friends. Golf was his favourite sport and his dream was to retire and spend winters golfing down south and summers golfing all over Manitoba. His favourite saying was, It's better to have a bad day on the golf course than a good day at work. Ray enjoyed playing bridge and trivia games and he was an avid reader. He had a terrific sense of humour and his motto was, Don't get mad, get even. He was known as Grandpa Teaser to his grandkids and he cherished every moment he spent with them. The family wishes to thank the Palliative Care staff for the kind and compassionate care you gave Ray and for all your support during the last few months. Many thanks also to Dr. B.T.C. Lei and Marietta and to all our family and friends for your prayers and kindness during this difficult time. You are all angels. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Ray's life will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to a charity of one's choice. We will miss you, Ray. I WISH YOU ENOUGH. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
