Mom was taken from us at the age of 86 years. Violet joins her beloved husband Michael Hruska (May 03, 1970), parents James and Rosie Craig, and brother Edward Craig. Violet was born in East Selkirk and grew up on a small farm, then moved to Winnipeg at the age of 18. She loved to dance and met her husband Michael; they were married on September 29, 1945. They moved to St. Adolphe on a family farm and started their family of five children. A year after Michael passed, Violet sold the farm and moved to St. Charles. In 1997 she moved into the Colorado Estates condo, then in October 2008 she moved to the Niverville Heritage Centre, and then to St. Pierre Repos Jolys until her passing. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at both Niverville and St. Pierre. There will be viewing starting at 6:30 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the St. Adolphe Roman Catholic Church. Interment of the cremated remains will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Violet's memory to a charity of one's choice. DESJARDINS 233-4949 1-888-233-4949
