CORNELIUS (KEES) HENRY KUYP Cornelius (Kees) Henry Kuyp, aged 90 years, died peacefully on June 7, 2010 at Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg. He leaves to mourn his wife, Juliette (Gaudry), the love of his life for 64 years; his daughters, Denise (Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions); Mary Lou (Pakoo); Annette (Gloux); Francine (Panagapko); Rosalyn (Chiupka); and his sons, Adrian (Butch), Dennis and Paul. He was predeceased by his son Henry Patrick. He has been blessed with 12 grandchildren, and six great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. Cornelius is also survived by one of his eleven siblings, Marie Paisley of Dauphin, MB. Cornelius was a farmer (Kelwood), storekeeper and postmaster for 30 years (Toutes-Aides) and retired in Ste. Rose in 1985. In 1996 he and Juliette moved to Paradise Village and then to Winnipeg in 2005. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Nativity Parish in McCreary, Manitoba at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2010. Interment to follow in the McCreary Parish Cemetery with Father Norberto Monton as celebrant. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions - Solidarity Fund, 310 Provencher Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2H 0G7 - for their work in their newly opened missions in China, Sudan and Thailand border.
