LILJA SMITH 1927 - 2010 Lilja passed away June 1, 2010 at the age of 82, after a lengthy illness. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Wesley G. Smith, PhD., her mother Gudny Isfeld and her brother, Jon Isfeld and sister-in-law Rachel Isfeld. Lilja grew up in Gimli, went to nursing school at the Winnipeg General Hospital, and has resided in Florence, Alabama for the past 40 plus years. She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy and Jonina, as well as several nieces and nephews. Cremation will take place in Florence, with a service to be held at a future date.
