AGNES CONSTANCE KRENZ Peacefully on Monday, May 24, 2010. Born to the late Stanley and Elizabeth Zuchowicz of Arborg, Manitoba. Widow of the late Walter Krenz. Agnes will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her sons, Gregory and Terry and his wife Brenda. She will also be missed by her two brothers, Dominik and Ted and family. Born in Arborg, Manitoba on April 20, 1936. Agnes moved to Winnipeg to pursue a career in business and accounting. Her enthusiasm and curiosity took her to many parts of Canada and Europe. Agnes met Walter and was married in 1956 for 33 wonderful years. With the birth of her two sons, Agnes became a guiding light for the family. Agnes took great pride in raising her children to be well educated, and value truth and independence. Later, Agnes was honoured for her commitment and dedication to her neighbourhood, and community. In 1992, Agnes was honoured by receiving Canada's 125 Anniversary Medal for her service to the community. She was also recognized by the City of Winnipeg Mayors Office in 1973, again for her community efforts . Agnes was very proud of her work and achievements and encouraged all those around her to explore, grow, and value every day. Through hard work and dedication, Agnes made a difference in showing that contributing to your community would have its rewards in making Winnipeg a better place to live. Agnes was loyal to her friends and family all through her life. Her independence, tenacity, quiet strength, and compassion, enabled her to achieve much in her short time. She enjoyed her summers at Lake Winnipeg and valued her new friends at Lions Manor. Agnes always spoke very highly of their help and ongoing assistance. Thank-you to the Victoria Hospital. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Winnipeg Harvest in Agnes's memory may be made.
