As well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Jim and Irene Manns, brother David, and his in-laws John and Anne Collins. Ron was born on February 8, 1937 on their farm near Sidney, MB. Ron and his family moved to a farm just east of Carberry in 1950. After moving to Carberry he attended school at Carberry Collegiate, and was an active member of the 4-H Beef Club. After graduating from high school he worked in the elevator system buying grain. He then moved to Winnipeg and attended Manitoba Technical College to take the Refrigeration Program. He started work for Bell Refrigeration and then moved to Northwest Ventilation. That same year Tricia married Steve and Ron gained the son he never had. He was a very proud Poppa to his grandkids Tyler and Jillian. Ron took on a new business partner at Northwest, Eric Montford.
