MANUEL ANTONIO CABRAL After a brave battle with cancer, Manuel Cabral passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on June 22, 2010 at the age of 64 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Maria; daughters Susana (Tony) Medeiros; Teresa Cabral; son Tony Cabral; grandchildren Nicholas, Alex, Devon and Brayden as well as numerous family members in Portugal, The United States and Canada. Manuel came to Canada in 1973 settling in Winnipeg with his wife and two young children. He started working for the CNR and soon after his family was completed with the birth of a third child. Manuel worked for the CNR as a Machine Operator for 25 years. He was a proud father and grandfather who loved his family more than anything. He will be sadly missed by all who had the benefit of knowing him. Vigil prayers will be said at 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin Street North. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010; also in the Immaculate Conception Parish, with the Rev. Fr. José Eduardo Medeiros presiding. Interment will be in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors and staff at the Health Sciences Centre and the Seven Oaks Hospital for the excellent care Manuel received during a very difficult time.
