Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJORN BUUS It is with great sadness that the Buus family announces the sudden passing of Jorn Buus on June 10, 2010 in Calgary, Alberta. Jorn will be greatly missed by his brothers Tonni (Bente) and Birger (Jackie), his nieces Pia and Tina, his nephews Jamie and Allan. Jorn was predeceased by his father Soren and his mother Sigrid. Jorn was born in Skelund, Denmark on July 17, 1944 and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1956 with the rest of his family. Jorn graduated from Churchill High School where he was a member of numerous city championship soccer teams plus a member of the Fort Rouge Legion Junior Soccer Team, winners of three provincial championships. Jorn graduated from M.I.T. (Red River College) in Radio Communications which led him to a career with the Department of Transport in Whitehorse and Calgary. He finished up his career with the Calgary Airport Authority, retiring in 2001. Jorn's spare time was taken up by his two passions in life, fishing and wildlife photography, with the occasional game of golf thrown in. Jorn was a very caring person and loved by everybody that knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
