KATHERINE LEE DUMKA Peacefully on June 23, 2010, Katherine Lee Dumka passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 37. Kathy was born on March 31, 1973 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has now gone to join her father Russell Dumka, her grandparents Daisy and Arthur Scott and Mary and Michael Dumka. Katherine is survived by her mother Arlene Dumka, brother Michael Dumka and his wife Tracy. Katherine was God's perfect human, never angry always smiling and always giving in spite of having Rett Syndrome. People like Kathy are special not because of their handicap but because of their beautiful soul. How lucky we were to have had Katherine in our lives. Our gratitude goes to staff at Heath Sciences Centre on Ward G4A, SCE Lifeworks, Nancy Neilson, all of her caregivers and mostly to Kathy's best friend in the entire world Lisa Dueck. Without her love and help we never could have managed. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 28 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Mr. Kevin Wiens officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
