Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAURICE (MOE) NORBERT FORTIER Loving husband, father, grandfather, carpenter, musician and teacher. Moe passed away on June 24, 2010 at the age of 63. Moe was born the youngest of 12 children to parents Wilfred and Clara Fortier in Dunrea, Manitoba. He is predeceased by his parents, siblings Norbert, Alice, Henri, Anne, and his son Marc. He is survived by his loving wife Michele Sereda, sons Daniel and Christopher, his grandchildren Amara, Toban, Joel, Ryan and Evan, his siblings Helen, Armand, Gill, Clem, Cecile, Roseline, along with his many nieces and nephews. Moe was an avid sailor and captain of his own boat Clara'. He was also an accomplished musician and was actively involved in building the Blues' music scene in Regina. Moe was known for his wicked sense of humour and as a master carpenter and teacher. He combined his passion for teaching and carpentry into a career with SIAST. A celebration of Maurice's life will take place on Sunday, July 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the Artisan On 13th (2627 13th Avenue at Angus Street, Regina, Saskatchewan). Donations are being accepted by the family of Maurice Fortier to establish a memorial scholarship in the trade of Carpentry at SIAST Palliser Campus. Maurice's family would like to send a thank you to the incredible staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic and the Wascana Grace Hospice for their loving care and support.
