Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT RITCHIE DAILY 1923 - 2010 Born October 2, 1923 at Oatfield, Manitoba, he moved to Winnipeg with his parents in 1936. He passed away at the Concordia Hospital on June 27, 2010 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease. He is survived by his loving wife Connie (nee Taylor) whom he married in 1946. Also surviving are his daughter Lynda (Sid Cherewyk), granddaughter Kristin, son Terry (Judy) and grandson Taylor. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Clema and infant brother George. Bob attended Tennyson and South Head Schools in the Interlake and Cecil Rhodes School in Winnipeg. He was employed with Scott-Bathgate Ltd. in Winnipeg where he started as an office helper in 1940 retiring in 1991. He served as Credit and Office Manager and as a Director. He also served in the Canadian Army returning to Scott-Bathgate where he finished his business career. As a member of the United Church of Canada he was active in the Sparling United Church for over 50 years; serving on the board, committees and as a member of the choir. He was an active supporter of the Red Cross Blood Donor Clinic and was recognized for giving a total of 97 donations. Bob was an avid football fan having Blue Bomber season tickets for over 50 years during which time he missed only four or five games. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street with the Reverend Scott MacAuley officiating.
