ADELE KIES On June 25, 2010 Adele Kies of Winnipeg passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Residence at the age of 79. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years Steve, daughter Judy (Peter), son Jerry (Perry-Lynne), and son Ted (Luba). Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Lyle (Sandy), Lanie (Michael), Melissa, Stephanie, Svitlana and great grandchildren Dylan, Rebecca, Isabella and Eric. Adele was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Kalinski, brother Eddie and brother Norman. Adele was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family get-togethers and company. Family came first to Adele. She loved floral arranging, music, animals, birds, and shopping. The Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive, Steinbach, Manitoba at 7:00 p.m. Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 1 at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach with interment at St. Peter and St. Paul Ukrainian Catholic Parish Cemetery in Pansy. Father Edward Kwiatkowski and Cantor Harry Hawryshko officiating. Reception following interment at Pansy Hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Diabetes Association, CancerCare Manitoba, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Residence (especially Jordan, Jennifer and Sister Filomena) for the loving care of our wife and mother.
