ELSIE GEORGINA SHAW (nee ROSS) Passed away on Friday, June 25, 2010 at her residence at MacGregor, Manitoba at the age of 89 years. She was the youngest of Albert and Emelia Ross of Eriksdale, Manitoba. She was educated at Parkview School and attended high school in Eriksdale, Manitoba. She took her nurses training at Edmonton General and Central School and graduated in 1948. Elsie worked in several hospitals and clinics and retired from MacGregor Health Centre in 1983. She married Colin Shaw in 1959 and they farmed near MacGregor until 1976 when they moved to town. Elsie is predeceased by her parents; brother George (Margaret) Ross of Castlegor, BC; sister Doris (Stewart) Robinson of Edmonton, Alberta and her husband Colin in September of 2000. She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Keith) Jaeger of Austin, MB; son Roy (Dannette) Shaw of Winnipeg, MB; one grandson Laine; one brother Fred Ross of Eriksdale, MB; one sister-in-law Phyllis Vermeulen of MacGregor, MB as well as many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at MacGregor Cemetery with Rev. Sandra Rex officiating.
