EDNA GRACE BIRCH (nee STEEMSON) Peacefully on Friday, July 2, 2010 with her loving family by her side, Edna passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 92 years. Edna is predeceased by her husband Art (1986), mother Anne, father Ernest and brother Ted Steemson. Left to cherish and mourn are her son Barrie and his children Adam (Jennifer) and Heather Grace, great-grandson Dylan Adam, extended family members and friends. Edna resided in Gladstone and Morris, MB and later in Winnipeg. She was active in curling and enjoyed assisting the community. She contributed to the Christmas Cheer Board with her knitting. One of Edna's favourite pastimes was reading. The family would like to thank the staff at Metropolitan Kiwanis Courts of St. James and the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion shown to Edna. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON1160 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
