MYLES OLIVER MATEWISH May 24, 1959 - June 29, 2010 Suddenly, unexpectedly, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and uncle on June 29, 2010. Leaving to mourn his passing are his beloved wife and best friend forever Ruby and his daughters Caitlin, Lindsay, and Chelsea, parents Mary and Joe, sister Michelle (Cliff), brother Joel (Donna), sister Mauricia (James), Uncle Oliver (Carol), Uncle Mikie, Aunt Vernie (Norm), Aunt Jean (Wayne), Uncle Wesley (Louise), sister-in-law Connie (Andy), sister-in-law Tara (Dennis), mother-in-law Inga, cousins Michael, Rosie (Glenda), Carlene, Nolan, Gary, Leon, Kevin (Debbie), Diana (Richard), Marcie, Chris and Cory, nephews Leo (Marissa), Matthew, Jordan, Jeremy, Derek, Michael, Joseph, nieces Meghan, Farrah, Jenna, Samantha, and Rebecca, as well as numerous great-uncles, great-aunts, and other family from Roblin Manitoba and throughout Canada. At his time of passing Myles was employed at Koch Stainless, where he worked as a stainless steel polisher. Myles was very highly thought of by his coworkers for his craftsmanship and unique sense of humour. Myles thoroughly enjoyed his years at Koch Stainless and many of his coworkers became his second family. Myles looked forward to the cottage season at Wallace Lake. One of his greatest joys in life was the days he spent there with Ruby and the girls as they were growing up. He also cherished the times he spent hunting with his Dad, his brother Joel, Uncles and Cousins. He loved to fish, fix cars, build models, and could always be relied upon to fix anything that was broken. Myles was a dedicated husband and father. He loved his wife and girls with a fierceness beyond words and they were the most important part of his life. His family (immediate and distant) meant everything to him and his short time with us will always be cherished. His time on earth is over but he lives on in the memories of all those who knew and loved him. A private family service will be held. Flowers gratefully declined, however a trust fund has been set up at Scotia Bank on Roblin Boulevard and Dieppe Road for the girls. Donations can be dropped off at any Scotia Bank.
