RICHARD (DICK) ALEXANDER MARSHALL July 24, 1922 - July 2, 2010 Suddenly and with great sadness we announce the passing of Richard (Dick) Marshall on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Victoria Hospital. Richard will be lovingly remembered by daughter Wendy; son-in-law Dennis; son Kerry; grandchildren Sawyer, Preslee, and Tyson; sister Rita; sister-in-law Evelyn, uncle Charles; sweetheart Jean; and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his cherished wife Freda in 2006 and beloved granddaughter Jordyn in 2005. Dad was born and raised in Winnipeg. He worked as a press operator at Domtar Packaging for over 40 years. It is at work that he met his future wife Freda. They were married for over 52 years. Dad loved to travel. His favourite place was Pompano Beach, Florida, where he spent many winter vacations. He also enjoyed trips to casinos in the United States and more recently to South Beach. He loved to watch the Toronto Blue Jays on TV, play bingo at the Fort Garry Legion, cribbage with his sister, and more recently pizza parties' with family. Dad loved all kinds of music and his Sunday nights always included The Lawrence Welk Show. Dad was a great dancer and he could always be found on the dance floor until arthritis hindered his mobility. Dad was a loving father and husband who took care of mom when she got ill. After her passing, Dad was very lonely until he met Jean who became his best friend, travel companion and sweetheart. Dad regained his zest for life and was a very happy man.
