LESTER SAMUEL DUNTHORNE On July 6, 2010 at Concordia Hospital, Lester (Les) Dunthorne entered into rest at the age of 94 years. Les was predeceased by his beloved wife Bea. He will always remain in the hearts of his family; son and daughter-in-law, Ken (Kay) Dunthorne, daughter Joan (deceased) (George) Hickey, grandchildren Jennifer (Blair) Obsniuk, Karin Dunthorne, Craig (Suzie) Hickey, Sandra (Dan) D'Aoust; and great-grandchildren Haley and Megan, Amber and Rebecca, and Tyller. For many years Les was a member of the Masons, and a regular attendee of East Kildonan Breakfast Club. He took advantage of every opportunity to go on hunting, canoeing, and fishing expeditions. He was employed by Swift Canadian until 1980, and then enjoyed many happy years of retirement, which included cottage living at Brereton Lake, as well as travelling, and socializing with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his many friends and relatives. Cremation has taken place, and at Les' request, no service will be held. Donations may be made to the Concordia Foundation.
