MARY IWANKOW Mary passed away peacefully on July 5, 2010 at the age of 89 years, with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband Peter; parents Paul and Anne Kupchinski; brothers John, Pat, Mike and Joseph. Mary is survived by her two sons, Reginald and Robert (Sandra), two grandchildren, Rodney (Rose and Emily) and Richelle, her sister Pauline and brother, Steve (Anne) and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was born in Buchanan, SK and came to Winnipeg where she met and married Peter. Mary retired after many years at Jackson Fabrics, continuing with her own company making draperies and crafts. She served as a volunteer at the Holy Family Home for fifteen years. Mary enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, Rodney and Richelle and loved to cook for her family. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Miller and Linda, Dr. Cooke at Cancer Care, Home Care Nurses and the Doctors and Nurses in Emergency at Seven Oaks Hospital for the professional and compassionate care. We would also like to extend the same to Dr. Bhanot, the nurses and staff at 3U5 at Seven Oaks Hospital. As per Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service has been held for the immediate family. Mary was laid to rest next to her husband at All Saints Cemetery. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave. Winnipeg, R3E 0V9. VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
