PATRICIA JEANNE GLOVER Patricia J. Glover died peacefully after a courageous battle with Cancer, on July 2, 2010, at her sister's home in Langley, BC. She was born on March 8, 1950 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Predeceased by her father, Stephen Glover in 2008; Pat is survived and will be greatly missed by her mother, Marianne Glover, her sister Karen Glover, her nephew Troy Sears and her closest companion Tia her dog. She will be missed by many other relatives and friends. Living her entire life in Winnipeg, Pat attended Winnipeg University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts and Education in 1971. After a brief stint in teaching, Pat started her career in Air Canada where in 1983 she obtained, during evening studies, her Certified Management Accountant designation. In 2005, after 32 years with Air Canada, she retired. She was able to spend her days enjoying her lovely garden, assisting her parents and travelling to British Columbia where Karen and Troy enjoyed her company. She was also active in the church and enjoyed participating in the committee that ensured the church grounds were maintained and gardens planted. Pat travelled frequently and during her later years, loved cruising. Her last cruise was in June of 2009 when she joined Karen and her best friend Lorraine, spending 14 days going up and down the Alaskan inside passage. Her greatest pleasure though was spending time in her garden and with Tia. Pat was truly a kind and giving person who cared about her friends and family. She will be so missed but now finally at rest. A celebration of Pat's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 17 at Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Dr., with Lori Stewart and Jeri Bjornson officiating. A reception will follow at the church and interment at Chapel Lawn Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Agency, 193 Sherbrooke St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 (www.cancer.ca) or the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.
