SHARRON MCMICHAEL Sharron Dianne McMichael, my wife of some 39 years passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2010 after a lengthy battle with cancer, with her close loved ones by her side. Sharron is survived by her mother, Margaret Gallagher, husband Colin, daughter Darraugh (Adrian) and granddaughter Charlotte, who gave Sharron much strength and pleasure. Sharron is also survived by her three brothers Michael (Pamela), Sean (Fernanda), Terry (Anna), and many nieces and nephews. There is a song that says it's not what you take when you leave this world behind, it's what you leave behind you when you go . Sharron touched many hearts with her kindness, had many friends and she will be sorely missed. Many thanks to the CancerCare staff, the Grace Hospital ER staff, in particular Pat Lyons, the Paramedics, and the big fireman who so gently carried Sharron in his arms, and especially many thanks to those close friends who worked so hard to make Sharron's bad days just a little brighter. A reception where we can toast Sharron and say our goodbyes will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, should you wish, a donation to Sharron's favourite organization, the Manitoba Riding for the Disabled, 200 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 1A8 or, the CancerCare Foundation, 1160 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9 would make Sharron happy.
