ANNA GWENDOLYN KARR (nee Baldwin) September 11, 1930 - July 18, 2010 Mom passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday. We believe that she died of a broken heart after Dad, her partner of nearly sixty years, passed away in January. Mom is survived by her sons, Glenn and Dean, and by her grandchildren, Andrea, James, Adam, and Kylie. She was predeceased by her parents Jack and Gundy, her son Tom, her brother Bud, and the love of her life, husband Steve. Mom was born in Glenboro. The Baldwin family moved to Winnipeg when Mom was young, and she graduated from Daniel McIntyre Collegiate. Mom met Dad while working at the Abbott Clinic, and went on to have a 22-year career at the airport with Air Canada. Mom and Dad loved to travel and had wonderful experiences in Europe, Mom's favourite place to visit. They were also blessed with many great friends. Mom was a wonderful cook and hostess. She loved parties and was always smiling and laughing. She was the anchor of our family and there is a hole in the world without her. A celebration of Mom's life will take place at the Star Conservatory Restaurant 15 Conservatory Road, Assiniboine Park 897-7827 on Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
