Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryINA ORYSCHUK Peacefully, on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Holy Family Home, Ina Oryschuk, aged 91 years of Winnipeg. Ina (Ivanna) was born January 6, 1916 in Lviv, Western Ukraine where she lived and attended school. At the age of two, Ina was adopted by Pavlo and Evfemia Semaniuk. At the age of 14, Ina moved to Stanislaviv, now Ivano-Frankivsk. In 1940, she married the love of her life, Myron Oryschuk. In 1943, her husband joined the Ukrainian Dvizia army and was dispatched to Officer Training School in Poznan. In 1944, due to the western advance of the German/Russian front, she was forced to leave Ukraine. After the end of the Second World War, Ina and Myron were reunited in Yugoslavia. Myron began work as a translator in the Displaced Persons camps in Filach and Salzburg and it was from there that they immigrated to Canada where they first worked and settled on a farm in Saskatchewan. One year later, they moved to Winnipeg where Ina worked in the garment industry and later as a furrier at Eatons for 27 years. Ina was a member of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, a long time member of Oseredok and was a benefactor of Plast Ukrainian Youth Association of Manitoba. Ina was predeceased by her husband Myron on August 1, 1991. Left to cherish her memory are her sister-in-law, Ivanka Pivnyk in Ukraine, as well as numerous nephews and nieces in U.S.A. and in Ukraine. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 24 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Mitrat M. Buyachok officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
