Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES CHRISTOPHER DIXON 1946 - 2010 Jim passed away peacefully on July 22, 2010. He is survived by his brothers Reg (Maureen), Sid (Cynthia), Henry, Bruce (Rhéa) and Sam. Jim was born in Vancouver, BC and at a young age the family moved to Winnipeg where he spent the remainder of his life. Jim will always be remembered as the strong silent type. Throughout his life he worked as a cook at a number of restaurants and hotels. He particularly loved working at the racetrack and the excitement of horse racing where he spent much of his time putting down small bets looking for that big win. The family would like to sincerely thank the Deer Lodge staff and many caregivers who greatly improved his quality of life during his long stay. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with interment to follow. Chapel Lawn 885-9715

I worked with Jim back at the Pembina Hotel in the mid-sixties. I just now happened on his obituary. I have great memories of Jim then. Always with a real smile, he was just great to work with. So sad it all ends so soon. - Posted by: Laurie Cyr (MR) (Co-worker) on: May 10, 2019
