ARNOLD C. FONTAINE Arnold was born at Sagkeeng First Nations on September 16, 1953. He was the fifth child in a family of ten children. Arnold leaves to mourn his precious son Kelvin of Norway House, his mother Elizabeth, siblings Bertha (Marcel), Stan (Ramona), Irma, Ingrid, Barry, Derry (Karen), Iris, Darrell, aunties and numerous nieces and nephews. Arnold was predeceased by his father Stan in 1997, sisters Maxine and Anne in 1992. Arnold will always be missed in our hearts. He had no problem remembering 1001 jokes for every occasion. He had a special spot in his heart for children, especially those who were less fortunate and needed a good time and a parental figure. Arnold worked in the capacity of a child and family services and cultural worker throughout the years. During the later stages of his life, Arnold developed a spiritual thirst for the working of God in his life. Arnold would often be seen praying at night and reading spiritual literature. We know he suffered much, especially in boarding school, but he did not let it define who he was; instead he chose to help people and spread his sense of humour around. Today, we know Arnold found the true meaning of life. To Arnold, we would like to say Thank You for the many acts of kindness spread over an ocean. Meegwetch . We wish him a wonderful journey and meeting place with all the relatives. Till we meet again, happy sharing. Wake services are being held in the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church Hall, Sagkeeng First Nations, starting Sunday evening with the Funeral Service to follow in the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up, after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done to feed the children.
