Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHARINA (KAY) LOEPPKY (nee FRIESEN) July 16, 1926 - July 24, 2010 Kay Loeppky, aged 84 years, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend to many, and wife of 62 years, passed away quietly and peacefully at the Carman Memorial Hospital at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, July 24, 2010. A women of strong faith with prayers from both Rev. Harold Kenyon and Pastor Bob Pauls and with her sister Marie Brown, her three sons, a few friends, and caring nurses at her side Kay slipped away to be with her God. Kay struggled with a variety of health issues for a number of years and most recently spent the past three weeks, with wonderful care from the medical staff, at the Carman Memorial Hospital. We the family would like to especially thank the nurses and Dr. Clayden for their loving care. Kay was a dedicated wife, mother, and friend and always with hard work to support her family with unconditional love. Her open mindedness, faith and consistent prayer was a continual part of her life. Kay was predeceased by her beloved husband Abe on December 20, 2008, and her brother Johnny Friesen. She leaves to mourn her passing her three sons Garrett of Winnipeg, Garth of Vancouver, and Brian of Winnipeg, grandchildren Tanya (Joe Westra), Iaian (Kristina Hernandez) Loeppky, and Daniel Marchal-Loeppky, daughter-in-law Arlette Marchal, sister Marie Brown, also her sisters-in-law Sue (Johnny) of Morden,Katherine Oliver of London, England, and Muriel Loeppky of Winnipeg. Also surviving are her special niece Arlene Sweeney and goddaughter Joan Knowles and many friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Carman United Church with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Carman.
