GEERT DEJAEGER AND MARIA DEJAEGER It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Geert and Maria Dejaeger on July 25 and July 28, 2010. They will be lovingly remembered by their three children, Sara, Iene (Greg), Jelle (Tannis), grandson Seppe, surviving parents, several brothers and sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, friends and dogs. Geert is predeceased by his mother and sister. Maria is predeceased by her father and brother. Geert and Maria were admired for their amazing love of life. Together they accomplished many things that would take most people several lifetimes to achieve. Geert, a helicopter pilot and Maria, a lawyer, immigrated to Canada from Belgium and the Philippines, respectively, in the early 1990s. From a few suitcases they built an extraordinary life. Geert and Maria had several passions. Motorcycling, one of the most recent, had taken their love of traveling to a whole new level. As they were avid pet lovers, Geert and Maria could not leave their dogs, Sparkle and Pebbles behind so they invested in a trailer to pull behind the Goldwing. Whether it be their weekend trips for breakfast or their trips to the United States, they loved to be on the motorcycle. The family would like to thank the emergency staff, hospital staff, family and friends for their ongoing support.
