THOR JAMES CRONSHAW 1953 - 2010 It is with great sadness that Thor's family announces his sudden but peaceful passing on July 31, 2010. His life was blessed by his partner Diane; father Frank; children, Fern, Steven (Cheryl), Alana, Devan and Jenna; siblings, Francine (Russ), Steven (Kayla) and Nina (Dave); grandchildren, Joshua, Gracie and Leah; and many nephews, extended family and close friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Gudny. Thor enjoyed his work as an Engineer, which took him from the paper mill in Pine Falls, to BPB Westroc in Winnipeg, and finally Parmalat in Grunthal. He made many friends along the way. More than anything, Thor cherished his time spent with family and friends. He was actively involved in the lives of his children and could be counted on for loving support and a helping hand. He hosted the best sleepovers for the grandkids and the best parties for his friends. Cremation has taken place and a gathering of family and friends will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. Interment will be in the family plot near Gimli. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Thor may be made to The Movement Centre of Manitoba Inc., 1646 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R2G 1N7.
