Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARJORIE LORRAINE CAMPBELL Sadly our loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Gimli Community Health Centre. She is survived by George, her husband of 58 years; her daughter Gayle and husband Peter Kolba along with their children Jodi, Danny, and Lynn; daughter Sandy and husband Dale Walker and their children Julia and Lee, and sister Claire Greenwood of Vancouver, BC. Marge was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba January 5, 1929 to Fred and Mary Fryer. She spent most of her youth growing up in Morse Place and had wonderful stories to tell about her life there. After her school years, she began working at Eaton's as a Parcel Girl . It was at this time that she met the love of her life, George, on a blind date. She knew instantly that he was the one . Marge and George were married June 28, 1952 and shortly after had their girls. The family enjoyed many happy days on Beverley Street with their friends and neighbours. Summer vacations, full of laughs and fun, were spent at Grand Beach. The family moved to Transcona in 1968 where Marge devoted her time to her new house and raising her children. Once the kids were on their way to adult life she discovered her new passion of Golf! Marge and George and their Golf friends, of which there were many, had endless laughs and good times over the years. When George retired in 1990 they moved to Sandy Hook, Manitoba to live on the golf course where Marge enjoyed her many hobbies including crossword puzzles (along with her friend Phyllis), watching movies, (especially the old classics) caring for her flowers, and a cup of tea while watching the putting action on the 2nd green from her front yard. Marge loved to have fun and everyone who knew her will remember that smile . She was young at heart and Nana could always relate to her grandchildren, appreciating each one of them for their individualities and especially enjoyed hearing about their latest escapades. The family would like to thank the staff at Gimli Community Health Centre for their care and compassion. It is so greatly appreciated. In keeping with her wishes a private family service will be held. Flowers gratefully declined. We'll meet you in St. Louis Mom Forever and always your family. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
