JOHANNA BYRNE (nee LACOSTE) April 1, 1937 - August 5, 2010 With great respect our family announces the passing of Johanna Byrne on Thursday, August 5, 2010. She was blessed by her children Jim, Amina, Keith and Tamara, her grandchildren Chaase, Sarah and Dylan and also her dear family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Edward Byrne. Joan spent her career at both Manitoba Health and Blue Cross where she looked after her clients with care and compassion, addressing their concerns with her personal touch. Her kindness, empathy and thoughtfulness extended into her personal life and were reflected in her fun loving and social nature. Joan's love for connecting with people was evident by her growing Christmas Card list. Jim and Keith wish to thank all those who enriched Joan's life, in creating wonderful memories and laughter along the way. We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Tracy and Eleanor for being there for Joan and their support of our family. Also a special thank you to the Grace Hospital staff for their care and support to Joan and our family. In celebration of Joan, a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. We've had a great deal of memories growing up. You made everything so special and magical. And even though we're older now, we still cherish the memories of those special times. Who we've both become and our lives today are reflections of you. Your gentle hand of guidance has led us down successful paths in our relationships and work. You have always been there for us when we faced life's struggles. You've always been one of the most important people in our lives and in memory always will. And even though we are apart we know that we can always look within our hearts and find you there.
